Each Stitch Counts
Each Stitch Counts partners with local food pantries to address hygiene insecurity by providing dish detergent paired with handmade dishcloths donated by volunteer crafters. With more than 2,200 members worldwide, they've distributed over 4,500 detergent bottles and dishcloths last year alone, surpassing that total this year. Through simple, quick knitting projects, volunteers turn their craft into meaningful community support.
Knitted Knockers
Knitted Knockers is a nonprofit organization providing free, handmade breast prostheses to women who have undergone mastectomies or other breast surgeries. Volunteer knitters and crocheters create soft, comfortable alternatives that offer a personal touch, confidence, and comfort to women navigating breast cancer recovery. Each handmade knocker is a small gift with a big impact.
Project Linus
Project Linus is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing handmade, washable blankets to children who are seriously ill, experiencing trauma, or otherwise in need of comfort. Through the generosity of volunteer knitters, crocheters, and quilters, these handmade blankets offer warmth, security, and a little extra love to children during difficult times. Every blanket is a reminder that someone cares!
Loose Ends
Loose Ends connects families with volunteer knitters, crocheters, quilters, and other textile crafters who help finish meaningful projects left unfinished due to a loved one's passing, illness, or disability. These volunteers complete the projects and return them to their intended recipients, preserving the love and memories stitched into every piece. With more than 38,000 volunteers worldwide and over 6,000 projects finished or in progress, Loose Ends brings comfort, connection, and community together, one stitch at a time.
